European Board of Medical Assessors, EBMA
The European Board of Medical Assessors (EBMA) consists of a group of European professionals who have expertise in assessment and/or have leadership roles in universities, or other bodies concerned with medical education and training. We have come together to promote best assessment practice in medical education in Europe.
EBMA offers assessment products for medical students, students and early residents including through International Progress Testing, consultancy service for medical schools to develop and implement their assessment programmes.
The EBMA hosts an Annual European Conference on Medical Assessment. EBMA 2026 will take place on 1-3 December in Lancaster, UK. Abstracts are welcomed.
Association for the Study of Medical Education, ASME
The Association for the Study of Medical education (ASME) works with educators, learners, researchers and policy makers to advance scholarship and excellence in Health Professions Education. They hold several conferences, including their flagship ASM.
ASME also offers a wide range of awards encompassing all stages and types of Health Professions education, to reflect our diverse membership. Our awards range from prizes at our Annual Scholarship Meeting to PhD studentships. Our awards aim to cover all aspects of scholarship, including innovation, evaluation, research and practitioner inquiry.
